Barn car on eBay interesting
Check this out! look at that interior! Gas heater, etc. It's getting strong interest.
(sorry if it's a repost, but I couldn't find a thread on it..)

Sure looks like it was stored outside for a while, not in a garage as claimed.

I'd say there were a lot of pigeons in that barn!

I'm just having a REAL hard time buying the interior is original and in this condition with the balance of the car/paint/engine bay in the shape it is in. It simply does not add up to me, but then again, I have been wrong many times before. The bright red looks out of place on the car in the first place with what looks to be a brown headliner. Again, just my 2 cents.

The market is speaking though..20K is a solid price, in my somewhat uneducated barn find opinion, LOL.

It just seems a bit odd to me. The car looks like it sat outside for a long time, but in a climate that doesn't get below 32 degrees F. None of the molding is starting to come out. I don't by his reason for the interior looking the way that it does.

Wonder how much he paid the old lady for it?
As for the interior, I am willing to bet if the car was covered and the barn went thru tons of heat cycles (accounting for the surface rust on the car), even with the windows rolled up, the interior got moldy.

That is an excessively high price for a rusty 66. I think the barn "story" is making bidders really excited. Am I missing something or does that car have something unreal about it?

Thats not just surface rust, there is a lot of rust through. I would want to see that one up close with ice pick in hand before any money changed hands!

yea, I imagine the car needs a nearly complete restoration (assuming the interior is ok)..and thats going to run what 20K minimum? So, what does a neat 66 sell for restored?
So to see a buy in at 20K is surprising.....especially as I'd assume most buyers are buying it sight unseen. It's even more surprising considering the economy. maybe there's something unique to the numbers that I don't know, but at least two other bidders do?

Looks like it shared the garage with a submarine.

No way does that add up for me. But, I do see rust on the gauge bezels. I guess vinyl doesn't rust.

Seems really expensive to me. In the "old days" I would have passed on a car like that if it was more than $3K.

It looks like it was left to dry in the barn after it was fished out of the Hudson...something is fishy about this car...although the seats looked good! its if someone applied some leather conditioner turtle wax maybe?

From 6k to 21k!
It will need that much if not more in body work alone.

Those spots on the paint will buff right out. A little marvel mystery oil down the plug holes and she's good as new!
