"PORSCHE" For sale ads???
I am on the search for an interesting 911 or 930. Just looking for a car that is a bit different or has some sort of interesting quality.
Problem is I just do not get "Porsche" guys trying to sell their cars. Almost every ad has one of the following: No price but then says no low ball offers? I really do not have to sell but....serious only Just gauging interest but serious only If they are serious about selling why not a price point??? Who wants to waste their time for either party when the price is out of buyers range??? Don't give me the can't afford it nonsense as that line was invented by some idiot who just wanted to waste everyones time. Then there are the best you can find with 20 notes as to what is wrong with it? I swear some of these guys are just lonely and want someone to converse with. I am new here but if you read the for sale ads there is a definite trend. I just do not get it?? If you want to sell a car post it up with all the info and a fair price. Oh well sorry for the rant. |

What are you looking for that makes the 911 or 930 you are seeking, "a bit different or interesting"?

Having recently purchased an 89 coupe, I can tell you that I flew right by any of the cars that were overpriced with the notes you mentioned. That's the 'joy' of buying one of these cars; people who believe their cars are worth considerably more than they are. The particularly fun wrinkle would be those with that philosophy yet still don't know a thing about that vehicle in their garage.
It's probably even more difficult to be a buyer right now as most sellers don't want to lose money on their cars so they troll for those who are still willing to pay top dollar. I know I would (and did) should I wish to sell my Carrera. |

How about a 1989 Speedster? (930 Widebody model) I met a person at a local PCA show who is interested in selling their Speedster. The car is IMMACULATE!! All original, garaged, and doesn't even have any roadblasting or rock chips in the front. I took a peek, and underneath the engine is dry as a bone! It has around 44K original miles. This car is NICE!!

I will take the Speedster!! Consider it sold....Oh wait there is no price? You are proving my point.
I also just recently saw a ad on another big Porsche site where the seller states "This is the last time I will post this car for sale" So threatening a prospective buyer with a one of 10,000 built car will seal the deal. It isn't an orig Shelby Cobra. I am just looking for a clean different color combo 911. Prefer a 930 but want a super clean original car. Not a show car where the owner has dreams of it being worth 10x what it is. Just a nice evenly worn car. Thanks |

If you'd like assistance from the peanut gallery, (we're always glad to help others spend money) it would be helpful if you gave us a ballpark price range you're looking to spend.
