1969-1971 911E market
where is the market on the 2 and 2.2 liter E's ? the category I am looking to assess is the selling price for a good solid driver(s) no rust, properly maintained, a step ( or two) below the fresh nut and bolt.
Thanks G |
I'll be interested in opinions as well...I'm going to look at a 69E soon and have just started doing my homework.

I looked at a few E's a little over 6 months ago when I was in the market. I saw a couple of rust free drivers in the high 20 and low 30 range. They were far from perfect, but nice drivers. Of course, I passed on both of them because they were just not nice enough for what I wanted. I ended up with a very nice T in the end.

Go to Excellence Magazine, Bruce Anderson provides a market update for the longhoods once a year (April or May issue). I find this to be a great source. Check PCA Panorama and Rennlist as well. You can come up with an average based on condition and formulate for yourself what you feel is the fair value.
When it comes to longhoods a very reputable Porsche dealer told me recently, "the sky is the limit on longhoods". For my restored 1973.5T, I agree. |
