I don't understand how you are referring to this car as a Production 965 Turbo S car. If in fact it is an authentic factory S2 car what you have done is hurt the value. However that is one bad ass car with looks to match. Is it worth $65k as a standard modified 964 or 965, yes absolutely! Personally I would go for a 993tt that is stock or mildly tuned. I happen to have a factory 965 turbo S (965 S2 IMSA supercar) engine in my stock looking 82' sc with a g50 and it scares the crap out of me. I cant imagine how fast that car your selling must be. Good luck and hold your price. Its worth more than 65k in my opinion.

Hi Kurt,
Thanks for your feedback. You are correct that the underlying chassis is is not one of the very rare 91-92 Turbo S or Turbo S2 cars, or even a 1994 Turbo S. The bodywork was built to emulate the 1994 Turbo S non-slant (splitter added to front end, ducts to replace the fog lights, rear quarter panel ducts, '94 Turbo S style rear wing). Then engine is so much more than even a 993 Turbo S, making 550hp to all 4 wheels on 91-octane pump gas -- about 630hp at the flywheel. Is a modified S worth less than a stock car? Sometimes. It depends. "Stock" does not equal "perfect" and the there's always room for genuine improvement -- something that makes the the driving experience better. For instance, it's had to argue that a set of good aftermarket headers isn't a huge improvement in driveability and performance over the standard Turbo heat exchangers. Other modifications don't improve a vehicle whatsoever, and I would argue then hurt the value of a car. In the end, it's all up to the owner to decide. We have a genuine '94 Turbo S Slantnose in the shop getting a similar complete rework -- 3.8L EFI with turbocharger, gearbox modification, bigger brakes, full suspension... The owner likes the car, but obviously wants specific things reworked to satisfy him and how he uses the car. Do these modification hurt the value? Not to him, it doesn't. Happy Holidays!

The value is what the market will bare. I think ebay keeps a pretty good pulse on things like this. FWIW, I dont think your going to get 60k despite the fact that it may have cost much more to build.
