Porsche Crest Looking for a 911 Carrera 1986-1989

Hi ,

my dad and I had the 'crazy' idea to make the dream true and get a Porsche 911 while I am still in the US. I am intenting to re-import it back to Germany since prices seem to be lower in the US and the Euro is still quite strong (also there are some areas in the US where they don't need to trow salt on the streets during winter). Does somebody have experiences with re-importing?
I am looking for a 911 Coupe or Targa. I was talking to some people and they recommended to look for the 911 Carreras with the G50 gearbox. Important for me is that the car is well maintained and as original as possible. Last couple of months I was mostly researching ebay and craigslist. Any suggestions were else to look (I saw a list with sources in another post)? I was also wondering what people think about 'Victory cars' since I came across them several times on ebay. Also, I might need to do a PPI in Austin Texas. Any recommendations?

Questions, questions, questions..... OH btw... my name is Alex. I am new here... so hello again to all and thank you for your help,

Alex

A customer has a 87 911 Carrera Targa for sale.

Here is a photo.............

It has 160k miles and is a nice clean one with only a few thousand miles on it since a recently rebuilt motor & clutch done here at our shop.

More photos & service records available if interested.

He is asking $15,000 for it. Its presently in winter storage near our shop in Stow, Mass.

I have never dealt with victory, and while they always seem to have a large supply of cars, I've read on the internet of some less than flattering stories.
