Hypothetical question

Is there any value difference between a euro 83 sc coupe and and 83 sc euro cab?

COnsider both are in the same condition, color,. miles etc.

Thanks in advance.

Do enthusiats really think the cap is a car worth having?

I would say that from what I have seen the coupe would be more valuable, particularly if it is sunroof delete....no sunroof. The reason being is that most people buy these cars for performance...the coupe will be lighter, with less body flex, also you can track the coupe without a safety concern. To me the cab is more of a cruiser…you will have more options with the coupe.

For me, I agree with the above poster. Think however that the cab driver is different from the coupe driver. I think I would argue as the 83 is first year of the cab that the cab might be the more valuable.

cab hands down. first ans only year for an SC cab.

It is in fact first year for any year 911 cab. Kinda special if you think about it. Cab if you like just some good old driving, Coupe if you like good old spirited driving. You can't go wrong with either and both have pretty much hit the low point as far as depreciation goes. Go with your heart.

Someone looking for a clean coupe would be willing to pay a premium...
Someone who needs to unload his cab would be willing to sell at a discount.

Too close to call

I'd say the coupe is definitely worth more. ;)

imo, its 2 different buyer pools, but not necessarily two different values. A track junkie might want a Euro SC coupe because it works better in its class.. but a collector of "first year" examples would want the first 911 cab (an SC) vs a Carerra.

For me, as much as I love the coupes for their aesthetics, once the car gets old enough and becomes strictly a "tourer" or parade car I'd much rather have the convertible.
