The silver 88 cab in the classified

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/478698-fs-1987-911-cabriolet-primo-shape-needs-nothing.html

Hey guys. Some of you longtimers here might remember a few years ago when I sold the 87 Ruf look Targa that I had pretty damn perfect because of a financial pinch. I am getting the bug real bad again and the 88 silver cab in the classified might end up in the stable. Jeff selling it sounds very fair and honest, does anyone have any input on what i am forgetting. No rust, oil leaks, ac works ... as good as they normally do I am sure, several different owners, lots of new bits. Just looking for affirmation of my insanity. link enclosed. Ken

I've looked at that listing very closely several times. Price is right, now that he's lowered it to 18.5. If it weren't silver, I'd have already ordered a PPI on it. Exactly the car I'm looking for, except colour. I'm just really not a big fan of silver. If the description is accurate, it's a good price on a great car, IMO.

If the ad is truthful, at least all the coin will be up front, not 2 weeks down the road when you get it home and realize oh, this needs fixing and that needs replacing, etc etc.

I do not understand why this car hasn't sold. I thought it was properly priced @$24k to move.

Looks like a nice car, but I think the seller has been chasing the market down. $24k for a G50 was probably a bit high to begin with, now the car has languished on the market and gotten stale. Current ask of $18.5 seems very fair to me if the car is as described and you like the color.

Going rate for G50 cabs seems to be high teens, 915 cabs maybe 18.
