Iv'e seen alot of talk about price.

Take for example, a nice looking well presented vehicle appears say for 18K and books for 18k in this condition. However, the buyer finds out the front fender has been repainted. Does this affect the price and lower it from the original 18K or does it limit the prospective buyers?

In my mind Iwould say yes from my car experience. Any thoughts?

I would say such an issue would be entirely between buyer and seller. If they disagree, then they won't be able to agree on the price, and a transaction won't occur. Personally, unless I were looking at a concours car, or one that was presented as being entirely original, including paint, I wouldn't think twice about a respray, unless it was really poorly done. I bought a car once that looked like it had been painted with a brush. No *****. But in the end it was a $1700 car and I didn't care.
