value difference between 8's and 9's?

Hello,
What's the standard sorta thought out difference in value between like condition 16 x8's and 16 x9's? (Fuch's, 911 offsets.)

Thanks
sbm

i would say 9s are +$400-500 each over 8s.

boy that's steep....another board member has a pair of nice refinished 9s for $1200 in the FS section, but what are the 8's in like condition worth?...maybe 200-250 a piece? that would be a net difference of about 600 or 300 each...maybe safe to say 9s are worth roughly double what 8s are worth?

other thoughts?

Bought a set of 8s for $500 + $300 Reed RSR refinish= $800

Bought a set of 9s w/ Reed RSR finished = $1800.

8s let the car sit properly; 9s wouldn't fit under wheel wells.

Now for sale $1800.

I would like to find a set of 16x8's for $500.00....

I think the 9's almost look too wide - unless it's a racing need.

I would say the difference between 8 and 9 x 16 is minimal. Maybe $100 per wheel max.

I am actually right now looking for some 8"s and would be all over a set at $800 in excellent condition.

The advent of the 17" fuch type wheel has brought many wheels to market. Keep your eyes open they are available. Look for rough but straight and send them to Al Reed or Harvey Weidman. They will look better than new.

imo 8's are the new 9's...at least on the street unless/until tire manufacturers bring back high/ultra performance 245/45/16 rubber.
