2007 GT3 RS versus 2010 GT3
My interest in these two cars is peeking and they seem to sell for similiar money. I like the wider body of the RS, but have read that the 2010 GT3 series has been upgraded and is a much better car now. I am trying to compare and figure out which is the better value and better car.
Your help is appreciated. Thanks, John:D |

What are you going to do with the car?
|
No tracking, but aggressive country road driving.
|
Buy the one that gives 99% of the performance of the other, but has already lost 30%+ of its value in depreciation.
|
I agree and assume you mean just get a 2007/2008 GT3 as the prices are lower and they almost match the RS performance. Am I correct.:D

I'd get the RS then. Without driving the car at the 10/10ths limit you're going to be very hard pressed to tell the difference between the two.
Also, if the LSD hasn't already been rebuilt properly, consider it a cost that you will need to incur on the car in pretty short order. This will be the case on both cars, and not just on the older one. |
Denson,
I'd get the 07/08 GT3RS, as you surmised. Or a GT3 (same years). I haven't driven the "new" one, but I have 8Kmiles in an '08 GT3. I passed on buying newer cars because I just can't see how they are that much better, or where (outside of a track) you'd exploit the difference. I know a GT2RS would be more powerful, but I can't see the enjoyment factor being significantly higher. Just my thoughts. I also think the 2010 GT3RS graphics are pretty pimptastic. |
