Anybody Know This 83 911SC Out of Boulder, CO?
Hi guys,
I found this ad on Craigslist 1983 Porsche 911 SC and contacted the seller about his car. It was purchased from Go Motors in Boulder and then taken to Autowerk in Boulder for servicing. The owner wasn't able to provide me much info when I dug deeper into the maintenance and history of the vehicle. Other than it shifts fine, it has AC, interior is good, that's all he can tell me. I managed to get some photos from the seller and that's as far as I'm willing to take it. The car looks good (visually) but no pictures of the engine bay. Mileage is a little high and the price seems to reflect it as he doesn't know whether the motor was rebuilt or not. The seller provided me with a VIN which I should run a Carfax/AutoCheck on. Any leads? Thanks!

I remember that car. I think Go actually bought it from Flatirons Acura/Subaru, who took it in on trade IIRC. I can go talk to Randy at Boulder Autowerks and get you his thoughts on the car. He's got a pretty good memory and attention to detail and I suspect he'll know which one I am talking about if I ask him.
I'd also be willing to meet up with the seller and put my eyes on it for you if you want. I could also potentially help coordinate a PPI at Boulder Autowerks or Carquip if you want to go that route and get a leakdown test on the car. Just let me know how I can help. Regards, Matt
