Hi all. Hope I am posting this in the right spot. I am a 912 guy at heart...and in the garage!! But I have just come across an iteresting Targa. It is a 1970 911T Targa in Tangerine. I am finding very little info on this model....Anyone know how many were built? I heard a rumor this was a rare Targa?? 911T site is having issues right now...
Vin is 911 011 1003
Thanks a ton guy's!

Not rare unless it has a soft rear window. The color is highly desirable at the moment.

Thank you. You say not rare...but I cannot find more than one or two for sale ANYWHERE in the Targa model and no 1970 911T Targa's. Any idea on build #'s....my 68' 912 Targa only had 1,200 and change built...
Thank you very much!

Hey Tech thank you for the post...based on the site you posted I looked up the VIN I posted and it appears there were 2545 produced and it is actually a 69'.....3rd one made..? Another site had it listed as a 70'. Is this right? Thank you very much again!

Your car is a '70 T. The table on the page I sent you to has the 4th digit as a 1 on the T and E cars, and it should be 0.

Same problem. Someone slipped on the 4th digit.

911 car type
0 year
1 T
1 Targa

To the OP, what is it that makes this 911T Targa special? color combo? that its not rusted out? that its underpriced? Sure there weren't many made, but to be fair, Porsche didn't make a lot of cars in general at that time. As an investment, similarly equipped "E" or "S" versions will command more money.
