'84 3.2l motor pricing?

I have a 911 I am considering parting out. Need to establish a selling price for the motor before I can make the decision. '84 Carrera, 160k, no docs. Great compression (185-190), starts right up. What is a good price for the complete motor, including DME, harness, fuel pump, relay panel?

Good question. I would hazard a guess at between 5000 and 7500. The miles on all of these 3.2's now speak of a pending rebuild in the not-too-distant future.

Lovely engine though, I have one in my 73 targa, and I love it!

Good Luck with your project...

I bought a 1985 3.2 WITHOUT DME, harness, etc for $4,000 - was advertised here on Pelican. Located a nice DME without exchange for $270, wiring harness on eBay for $220. The motor had documented 110K miles, compression/leakdown all checked out. Drove the new motor just yesterday for the first time in a 1969, faaaaast.

$4,500 to $5,500 would be my guess, 160K is climbing.....but doable
