H5's or european H4's???
I am putting together a streetable IROC-look DE car.
Can somebody give me a quick rundown on my options for headlights? H5's or European H4's ? Can I buy good ones used, or do I need to just purchase them new? (the host has them for $231 each side with black trim ring.) thanks.

My seven cents:
1. If you already have H5s, just keep them. Clean them if they aren't working as well as you'd like. 2. If you decide to buy the Bosch Euro H4s, just buy new. They hold their value well, so after you buy new lenses, seals, and bulbs for the used lamps (always needed, in my experience) you are almost up to the cost of a new set. 3. Buy the ones with chrome rings. The black ones look tacky. If you want painted rings, buy new primed trim rings, don't sand down and paint the rings on the headlamp itself. 4. Buy and install the headlamp relay kit if you don't already have it. 5. Get some of the 80/100w bulbs that pelican sells. They are a lot better than the typical US DOT 60/55W H4 bulbs. 6. Install some of the thick 3m vinyl lens film on the lenses. It will make your lenses last A LOT longer. I have about 50,000 miles on my lenses, with no pits, cracks or breaks. They are just as clear as new lenses. 7. If you really want some serious flame throwers, buy some H1s and put two 100W bulbs in each.
