Another sad tale about the perils of selling a car
Not Porsche specific (car in question is a BMW M3) but nonetheless pertinent to this forum IMHO (moderators, if you disagree, feel free to delete or move this post).
Now, why someone would engage in a sale transaction apparently around 3am as the article appears to indicate defies common sense. I personally don't buy or sell cars frequently but the cars I do sell are generally too old to be of interest to a dealer for their CPO program so I advertise them online hoping for a private party sale. Stories like this are unsettling though - I hope the seller makes it through. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/28/nyregion/28bmw.html |
A) Always be cautious, always be armed.
B) Refer to "A"... |
It does not specify what time the transaction took place, just when the cops spotted the perps swapping plates.
At about 3 a.m., a uniformed officer with the Nassau County Police Department spotted the BMW pulled over on the side of the road, near Jericho Turnpike. The officer saw “two people outside of it,” Mr. Browne said, suggesting that it was Mr. Blake and an accomplice. |
...another repeat offender repeat offending...probably 'let go' do to budget cuts or some crap...what ever happened to 3 strikes and your out???
