Vakue of 95 993 cab w/ accident history
Going in for PPI today, had an accident in 2005, ran off the road, hit a tree, airbag deployed, repaired. Current owner says he's aware of accident but repair job was top notch (PPI will confirm). Assuming that's true, 90k miles, interior looks 7-8 out of 10 based on pics, what's a fair price? (also assuming PPI checks out fine).

I would say in the current us market and with the accident history, 22-24k would be a realistic selling price..

A nice accident free 993 cab with 90k miles should sell for low to mid 20s. If this car has been in a significant head on crash I can't see paying more than $20k for it and even that would be a stretch.

Sure, but we're talking about a 1995 993 here. It's right in the thread title.

I have to go with right around $20K. Cabs in my neck of the woods bring less than coupes. Air bag deployment in my experience = salvage title in the US.

Apparently not in Michigan - that's where the accident happened.
In any event, PPI came back with tons of issues, including a 2nd accident at the rear right, so I passed on the car. So the hunt continues.

I'm surprised to hear that. Always heard it was an insurance industry axiom. Maybe the value of the car has something to do with it. In any case, I'd be inclined to discount an open car more than a coupe based on severe accident history.

Well, who knows - it's possible the title got "cleaned" here in Ontario, though I've never heard of that before. This province is very strict with those kinds of things (unlike our neighbour to the east...) but the Ministry of Transportation has made mistakes before. My car was titled as a 1971 when I bought it.
Agreed, more discount for a cab than a coupe that's been hit. PPI indicated it hadn't been straightened properly, though he couldn't say from which hit.
