$45k for a 1971 911s?!!????

45k for this 1976 911S

It looks like a nice middie. Minus the inappropriate wheels. And the blacked out trim.
And hopefully that much $ in the engine means the proper steps were taken during the engine rebuild.

What exactly makes this car a 45k midyear 911? Maybe there's 30 grand in cash hidden in the smugglers box?

oops: should be 1976 not 71 in the title...mods can you please edit?

that is crazy. I guess it is the idea that you should get back the money that you put in. But it doesn't work that way. The engine rebuild cost is about equal to the value of the car w/ the rebuild.

I had some very amusing (for me) back and forth with Paul Fluckiger from Silverstone motors about the car, really classic salesman. After pushing a few questions he told me " This is the most incorrect car you can find..It’s primarily a track car…. "
Apparently the car comes with a bolt in roll cage, and a set of 16" Fuchs. Really amusing he fails to mention its primarily a track car in the ad
$45k for a track car ... yikes

There is nothing in that car which makes it a 45k car. Zippo none

Wow..

That makes the 150k mile 993 for $35k look like the bargain of the century!

I'd be interested to see what it actually sells for - $15k on the high end?

Agree, way out of line and now, the truth comes out.

Curiously, here's another middy that's a bit over priced and misrepresented, IMO.
Porsche : 911 | eBay

It's advertised as a 1974 S, but the VIN shows it to be a "normal" or T. The seller claims all original and no repaint, but look closely at the door jamb photo and tell me if that doesn't indicate a repaint? And the body shots--doesn't that look like two stage paint?

And all for $25,000.

Agreed. I was very interested in that 74 for a minute but the door jamb, red brake calipers and extensive audio / speaker work done to the car make me think it might have been owned by the same person for 22 years but who has been driving it.
