7 & 9" Fuchs - Sell With Car or Separately
Hi,
I am very close to putting my 88 carrera on the market (dont panic, only reason for sale is because i bought a newer one). I have the original 6&7" wheel set as well as a set of 7's and 9's - both with good rubber on them. I used to run the fatter ones in the summer and the skinny originals in the wetter months. Should i list the car with the original wheels (they are on the car now) and try to sell the fatties separately, or put the fat ones on and sell the complete package? Thanks. |
Sell separately you already have a desirable car that should not be hard to sell; What would you be looking to get for the wheels?

Seems 7/9 combos are $1500-$2000 asking prices lately, if in nicer condition.
Given that you may find an enthusiast to buy your car, maybe consider 2 prices, 1 with and 1 without the 7/9s or at leas offer them to the buyer for a market price. if buyer doesn't want them with the car, then sell separately. I'd be annoyed to find a car and THEN learn the seller already sold off some nice, period correct upgrades. |
Yes, after i thought about for a while, i am leaning towards using them as a bargaining tool in case i get some lowball offers. I know that when i bought the car, i would have been happy to pay a premium for the wheels. My only concern now is: should i put the fatties on now so that prospective owners see the car in all its wide stanced glory?

Hi Sean,
Please keep me in mind if you do decide to sell the Fuchs separately. I am interested. I'm on the Island. Thanks jack |
Sell the wheels separately.
I had a set of Fuchs 8s(944 offset)&9sx16 for sale a month or so back. 8s are worth more than 7s (but maybe to racers only?). Got $1350 for them as I recall. |
I am interested in buying the 7's and 9's. Are they still for sale? Pics?
