Value '87 930 109K miles

I'm trying to estimate the value of a nice '87 930 4 speed. The car has its original paint in very good condition except for many minor stone chips that would not be noticed by the casual observer. The interior is excellent. Color is a slate blue with blue interior. Garage kept and summer driven North Eastern car. It has been used as a road car with DE use over the last 12 years by its second owner. It's mostly stock. We will be rebuilding the transmission, which has lost 3'd gear, and replacing the original clutch. In the process we will detail the engine compartment and fix anything that seems questionable or is wanted by a new owner.

I'd like to know what you think it might be worth, assuming an excellent mechanical condition. Also - what are some typical prices for rebuilding the transmission?

19k to 22k is fair, if you really want it sold. Current 930 owners will be offended, no doubt.

Your can get about 25-28k.

I see very nice ones for 35k, so this car was track used and that would bother some people?

109K miles limits collector interest - unless it had a famous owner or was some special option/color 930.

If the original paint and interior is good, and it has no accident history and everything works well, I'd say $22k low for a quick sale and maybe $26k if someone loved the color combo. The $30k+ ones usually are under 50k miles or so. I'd say the color is a slight plus, but if it was an unusual sought after color it would probably bring a few thousand more.

With that many miles I'd guess the interior needs some work. The all leather interior seems to shrink and do strange things over the years unless it was babied.
