'87 Carrera...Thoughts on Condition v. Price?
I've seen some nice looking 87-89 Carrera's in the classifieds being offered in the high-teens to low-$20K's. I'm not sure what they are actually changing hands for though...I've also read some posts about Pelicans willing to spend nearly $30K for the 'right' car...would this car be the 'right' car if it is what the owner claims and it can be backed up with a near flawless PPI? Thanks...

Yes its worth 30k if the PPI checks out. Only minus to me is no sport seats and color if you don't like red.
FWIW I am one of the people willing to pay 30k or more for the right car. |

that is a nice car and looks spotless. it there were no ppi suprises I think it was a good buy for what it sold for.

When I spoke to the owner he said he had to have $31K for it...looks like it sold for the 'Buy It Now' price of $31.5K...he seemed like a straight shooter, welcomed a PPI, and said the car had NO issues...I should have pulled the trigger, but I struggle with whole fact that the car is 'there' and I'm 'here'...my loss.

looks like a real beauty, but that's certainly all the money for an almost 60K mile '87.
If it had 30K miles on it, the price wouldn't surprise me at all. At 60K miles I think the seller did quite well. |

Are we sure it really sold? No feedback was left.
A few things I did not like. The car spent many years in New Jersey. The miles on the Carfax do not start until 1992. |

$31,000 for a 60,000 mile Carrera is pretty high, I wouldn't have paid that.
The seller did well.

Here's another one...has some 'History Report' mileage discrepancies though...I think this car has been relisted two or more times...seems like I saw it on eBay at least a couple of months ago...reserve may be off the charts. Mileage is low enough to warrant inclusion in the 'Richard Sloan Club' if it's legit...description seems vague, but why? I have some questions in to the seller...stay tuned.
