915 from a running car

What would a 915 gear box from a running car be worth? The 915 does not seem to have any other history other than it came from a running car. It is probably from a 77 car.

Core value of $500-600. Unless you or a trusted mechanic drove the car and shifted into all gears just before pulling it out.

LSD or non, 8:31 R&P?

Non LSD is wha I am looking at. As a note of interest, is there any truth to LSD gear boxes not working correctly after 30,000 miles? I am sure that I read or heard someone say this, but I am far from certain.

My LSD box (factory) has 60K of original owner miles and about 5000 race mile on it and I would say it works just fine...
