89 911 Cabriolet Value?
Hey all, looking at a first Porsche, it's a 89 cabriolet, guards red with tan interior, about 60k miles, clean original paint, interior mint.
Needs - Due for a valve adjustment, the insulation pad in the engine compartment is hanging down, has a small tear in the convertible top. So the question - how much do you think it's worth!? |

with the information provided, if the PPI is clean/car needs nothing else than what you indicate, and the pant is very very nice, i would say 26-28k.

do a compression and a leakdown test for valve guide issues. If ok - price indicated above seems reasonable. Anywhere between 20 and 30k...

Oh.. might want to price out a valve adjustment and a top replacement just to cover your arse.
And yes, a PPI would be recommended And then leave 10-15% of price to fix / improve those niggling little items you will encounter.
