Porsche in Iran or Middle East?

I'm having a discussion with a friend of mine about the distribution of Porsches in the Middle East up until about 1980. I thought there might be someone out there who would know this kinda thing, or at least where to look?

Does anyone out there know how many 911's were exported to Iran in the years before their Revolution?
What about other the countries in that part of the world up until 1980? (For example: Lebanon? Turkey? Iraq?)

I don't believe any Porsches were actually exported to Iran. What there were, and there were a few, were in fact imported by individual owners.

That makes sense. But does anyone care to estimate? Was it more in the range of 5, 50 or 150 per year?
