Cant seem to sell it....

I need some help here. I have listed my car on a few different sites and have had no luck. I am asking $22,000. I know that the 964 is the red headed step child but it is a great car. Am I totally out to lunch on the pricing?

It is a slow market this time of year.

Might pick up when buyers get their tax refunds.

Don't panic, the car is priced right. These are great cars and becoming scarse. List it on Rennslist and PCA site; it will sell! Is it a triptronic or a 5spd? Where is it listed now? FYI the new Singers are being built out of 964 bodies, that should create even more value.

Thank you John. Of coarse I have my eye on something I would like to buy now, but you are right I may have to give it more time.

It is a 5 speed. I did have it listed on the PCA site and Rennlist. It is still up on the Niagara region PCA site. A few calls but no one serious.

Does it have all the interior engine mods

That helps create the false comfort

We could use more information before we can suggest any pricing.

Miles?
Year?
Accident and Paint history?
Maintence records?
Any major work done?
More pictures?

One picture and price tells us very little...

With all the maintenance in place, is that too many miles for the money?
If so that many be where it falls down. I just can't see selling for less than some 1984-1986 pre-G 50 models with equal miles that seem to bring more money. This is a funny universe we play in here. LOL

Getting close to 993 prices with similar mileage.

Pedigree Motorcars: 1996 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 4 - Delray Beach, FL

I actually prefer the looks of you 964, she is a beauty.

Good luck !

I have a hard time with the equating of other models in these discussions. You need to look at the comps for 964s.

Here are 101 pages of love for the 964. There are a bunch of comps included. Two of my friends bought cars in the last 12 months. They are a $20 to $25 car.

90s R Gruppe 911

That is a nice car and looks great with the black cups on it. I think your pricing is reasonable.

It's a very pretty car but with those miles and without a rebuild I think your price is a little optimistic.

Remember, just because you see people asking in the $20k's for high mileage cars doesn't mean they are selling for that much. Some maybe are but many are not.

I would repaint the wheels silver (black is popular but the original silver is what buyers who are looking for originality prefer). Take the numbers off the windows and shoot some new pics.
