73 E Targa Value?
Just acquired a complete non running 73 E Targa and i would appreciate input on its value. Original eng & trans and all the pieces are there. Floors are needing replacement although the holes are about the size of your hand and could be patched with proper metal. Area under pedals and the metal around the tow hook needs replacement. Extra 70E core motor comes with the car. Nice color - metallic blue with black interior. I have 5 of these older Porsches in my hobby shop and am trying to decide whether or not I should put this little gem in line or perhaps let someone else restore it. Best to send emails directly to me at edl1@hargray.com thanks Erichttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1327927871.jpg

As one reference point, I paid $6k for a yellow 71E Targa in a little worse shape than that one a year or so ago.

Hi
Eric
That's a MFI engine with green shroud, not CIS, so it should be a E engine. Bill |
Eric, that looks save-able and will make a very nice Targa with the colour and year.
But you do yourself absolutely no favour by posting those dreadful pics! Stick the camera on AUTO and be prepare to be amazed. |

I agree this is going to be great car when restored. I would say $10,000 is a fair starting point. |
