'83 SC Carbio - Running Condition fro $5.5K, Thoughts???
:-)
|
Seems hard to get hurt at that price.; The Targa to Cabrio conversion- if done correctly by the Porsche book works fine- At that price salvage title is meaningless. If you want it to be a driver you may wind up invested FAR more than just buying a decent $14K driver convertible though...
|
Just to clarify, the car is currently a driver. Tagged and running reasonably well, no major mechanical issues. I will test drive tonight to confirm.

Buy it! I would, and I don't even really have a place to put another car, haha. At $5,500, you could part it out and make more back than you put into it, and that is after swapping parts out. These cars are unfortunately worth more in parts. Keep us posted on what you decide.

Quick.......someone tell Pieco about this car....right up his alley! Lol

for that money i would say buy it and run the hell iut of it until it dies. then part it out and get your money and then some back out of it.
|
Awesome! Buy it! Oh, and please PM me your friends contact info, I am interested in cheap running/driving 911s! :)

:-d

I love a happy ending.
Enjoy the car. Cabriolet conversions were fairly popular in the 80s, and if the top mechanism isn't aftermarket iron junk, and the fabric is good, you should be able to sell the top alone for $1000-1500. All in all, you should make a great profit parting it out when/if you're done with it. |
