Price on a 1973 CIS
I will be advertising a nice 1973 911T Coupe no sunroof.
It's a CIS model or 1975.5 MY. No rust in battery boxes, rockers, pans, headlights or doors. It has original paint in the door jams, trunk, engine bay, plus all original decals. The paint is a 7 out of 10, can not tell if still some original paint left or all painted. It's color is Olive paint code 414. Matching engine with 99k on odometer. It has seats done by Autobahn Interiors in black vinyl and "Hounds Tooth". Fuchs wheels on new rubber. Chrome is good, rear seats original, headliner original, all tinted glass. Pockets are good with original radio, dash needs replaced. Glass is fine, minor small oil leaks. Uses no oil, just a nice original car not restored... I see prices all over the place but was starting at $25,000 for the car. Am I about right? Thanks, |

73.5 911t
That sounds like a nice + original driver, maybe 7/10 overall (like your paint estimate). I think the biggest downside are the NLA early CIS parts, but I think later CIS pieces are commonly adapted to keep them going.
The olive paint is a real plus (well, to me anyway). It's an odd shade, check out the newest Excellence for a cool olive long hood. I'd say $25k is reasonable and it should sell fairly quickly. The LWB 911S's are already to the moon, and the E's are creeping up as well. The 2.4 T's were really nice cars with decent power and good overall performance. |

Sounds like a nice quality driver car. Unrestored (original) cars are quite desireable and the last of the longhoods (while not as desireable as the MFI '73) are still stongest of the generation due to the 2.4L engine.
Pictures will help a lot. $25k may be too low for an initial asking price but may be close to actual market. The 'should sell failry quickly' comment above is in agreement with that. Accident history? Dash/door panel/headliner/carpet condition? Interiors are costly on these cars if they are in poor shape. If there has been any mechanical re-fresh work done over the years with documentation of any sort it may add value. If bushings, etc. are all ~40 years old - that weighs on the purchaser's mind as the labor is substantial to do those things. I think Excellence would put the value for "good condition" cars in the $21k-$32k depending on specifics.
