1986 Triple Black Coupe
Where does the price sit on this :
1986 Triple Black Coupe, 2 owner car, current owner last 18 years. California car, and serviced religiously by respected pcar specialist. Never raced or driven hard. Owner selling due to personal injury, making enjoying it difficult. Original apart from aftermarket steering wheel and stereo. Nil tail, 7s & 6s, aircond works but not great. Paint all original apart from respray of engine cover by Esposito, paintwork in nice order. Interior great except for a parting seam in the drivers seat. Nil ever top end work performed. Nil ever gearbox work performed. Mileage is 183,000 miles. I understand that theoretically a topend and gearbox rebuild could be logically on the horizon. If the car shows good leakdown figures what is it realistically worth today ? Last edited by pc100porsche; 03-11-2014 at 03:45 PM.. |

The Ebay auction for this Black 84 coupe ended at $21500, which was more than he was asking on craigslist. He picked a tough time to sell a car in Pennsylvania, and probably gave up some money.
![]() 1984 Porsche 911 C2 Coupe Mint condition Garaged Kept Higher miles than yours, but claimed rebuilt engine and transmission. Probably $23-25k for either yours or that one. The one from Ebay could be a better buy if the work was done well, but 200k is a pretty big psychological hurdle for a lot of buyers.

Cars with 180k miles are often stuck in a range.
My guess is around $19-22k Last edited by PushingMyLuck; 03-11-2014 at 06:22 PM.. |
