930 Turbo values
Does anyone have a pulse on the market for 86-88 930 Turbos? US spec coupes, low (50-80k) miles.
|
As your question is very general, from what i have noticed is I am seeing fewer under 30k. Lots of variables here. Prices for good examples seem to be getting stronger.
|
I back up crb's assessment. Completely dependent on the cars history and maintenance records and the higher mileage, less documented cars tend to go under $30 and the good ones go for as much as $40.
|
Thanks. Yes a general question as I don't have a particular car in mind, just trying to get a range.

I know a very stock 87 with 37K miles on it just sold for 42K. i could have purchased for 38K. Car is now on ebay (or was) for 55K by none other than LOWMILES. Car had no stories. Most all documentation. Excellent example. In my opinion 42K for that car as a private sale, non-broker/dealer, is at the high end.
Currently there is a 78 930 with 46k miles on it listed on ebay, and locally in NH. Two owner car, appears nice although i have not seen it. Very few records. PO had it for 10 years. Local price is 34K. Reserve is reporedly around 31K. probably a fair price. PPI probably in order, but several thousand dollars in recent receipts are available. |
Sloan cars has 2 930 coupes. One with 18k miles and the other with 23k miles. He's is asking $67,000 each. God bless the buyer

Seems like prices are firming up for nice low mileage examples. A friend has an excellent 60,000 mile red/black 86 930, completely stock which he has debated selling, and received an offer of $36,000 from a private party. Another friend has a 20,000 mile 86, blue over tan, that is absolutely perfect, and he wants north of $50k. While I think the blue/tan car is slightly overpriced at the moment for a private party sale, the market seems headed in that direction. Condition on both of these cars is hard to fault. Average condition or higher mileage cars are much softer though.

So what would be a reasonable price for a 930 with 18K miles? Just wondering.....
|
A lot of 930 price hinges on the year, condition, colors and history of the car. While 18K sounds great, that is far from a fair description upon which people can reasonably base an estimate.

In the U/K/ looking at £30k-£50k+ now in 07 you could pick up a good one for around £20k or under. Those days are long gone and will not be back.

I came here to make a 930 thread but I suppose I'll just tag onto this one.
I watch the 930 market fairly closely and the market over the last 3-4 months is going nuts. Clean early cars seem to approaching six-figure sale prices with regularity. Later model cars are also being pulled up and I am seeing more asking prices in $60k-$70k range than ever before. There is some good recent data in this thread in the 930 forum, http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/777746-notable-recent-sales.html |
Any sales of 89 G50's 930?
