looks like damage from the jack, maybe are drain holes, not sure

Unless someone carefully placed the jack at exact intervals across the entire pan it is not jack damage.

I owned a low mile, clean '67 912 that had similar under pan circular punches with slots. I remember thinking why but never explored it. Good luck - I'm curious to see the answer.

the little slit might be done on purpose and maybe the holes too, looks like jack damage around it though as you can see some warping when they placed it in there, i think the pans naturally are supposed to have drain spots from what i've seen
