Value of original deck sold with car that has an aftermarket Duck

Ok, so do I hang on to my original SC lid and grill, or do I make some room in my garage and sell them to fund purchase of more ammo or a Momo steering wheel? I'll never put them back on as the duck looks cool, helps cool, and provides some balance against the front chin spoiler, but does it have any real value in re-sale?

The car has been modified from original in suspension and exhaust, and removal of AC and back dating heat. Certainly not a collectible in that sense.

Thoughts?

Cheers
Scott

Original SC deck lid

I say keep it - it won't sell for much and takes very little space to store. I plan on a duck myself very soon, it's an iconic look that is actually functional.

Unless your SC has extremely low mileage, never wrecked, original paint, etc.. I would not be too concerned about appreciation. I see nice "driver" 911SC's appreciating very slowly in the future which is great. I like the fact that a "normal guy" can actually buy and maintain a great example of a 911 without going broke!

Have fun with your 911 and mod it as you like.

Wow.. some of you guys are just over the top with this "what's the value" or "it will only go up in value" thing! Why, just because its a Porsche part? Not every Porsche part holds some intrinsic value nor will every piece of one appreciate.

Have you ever been to a good swap meet and seen how many of these things are floating around?
Its not aluminum, nor does it take the tag lights in the lower edge like th early lids.. If you feel like selling it, do so and finance the other parts or the ammo.

I'm just say'n!

I think you sell it and buy something you can use.
