ok who got it

The 1990 C2 for 13.5 that popped up last night. I called within a couple of hours but was too late.

Fess up! Hopefully you are an enthusiast too - he said he didn't want to sell it to a wholesaler.....

Anybody know what interior color that is? I;ve been looking for a 993, but I confess I like that cockpit of that 964 a lot.

Looks like a sweet ride for the money.....

2004 Porsche Carrera 4S

I called on this one - it was a real deal on a 55k mile car.
A local aucioneer was selling on behalf of a local newswoman - said the car was mint.
He sold it in a few hours, had 50 calls - the one day I don't cruise Craigslist I miss the great deal
Last summer I bought a 1972 Corvette from the same guy - not so great a deal based on the current market

Don't forget the value takes around a 20% hit because it's a cabriolet. Nobody wants the top to come down anymore. Let's hope the second set of wheels are the factory wheels, those chrome cheapos are awful. -- Matt

I would compare my 356SC Sunroof versus my 58 Convertible D

My 68 911s Hard top versus my 68s Soft window targa

The 911SC cab in 83 brings a heck of a log more than a Coupe

The 964 Cabs were few and far between Hence the same or Premium in many areas

The 993 Cabs typically bring more than the standard coupe ( not the S series)

WHoever bought this did well if all is good on the Purchase chaeck

You certainly can't compare anything across models. There is a premium placed on any 356 sunroof over a coupe, whereas the opposite applies to the early 911 -- sunroof delete is preferred over sunroof. Any open 356 holds more value than its fixed head counterpart. The soft window targa is extremely desirable, especially in the past couple of years, but an early 911 or 912 coupe will still sell for more money than an identical car with a standard glass window targa. In the US, coupes are more desirable than cabriolets across the entire span of the 911, including 964, 993 and 996. Perhaps it's different overseas.

All of this being said, a look at the history of Porsche values and how they trend might be telling us that the 993 4S will be very collectible in the future. A cabriolet C4S is a rare bird, and pulling a tidy, low miles example out 20 years from now will surely garner some attention. -- Matt
