selling my 71 soft window targa
Looking for some pricing guidance for my 71 911T soft window targa.
It needs to be completely restored . Interior is all there but needs alot of tlc. Engine is rebuilt but has not been installed. It is matching numbers too. It was definitely a euro delivery car. The soft window mechanism, latches, top, etc. are all intact. The top needs to be replaced. I have had an offer in the 20k range but have seen soft window targas going for alot more lately. It must be one of the last produced of the softies. Thanks for your input. |
Hard to say. I think it most cases, if you're that close to having a running, driving car, it makes sense to complete it to that point. A buyer is going to have more confidence in an engine he can hear. Also, the driving experience of a softie is a big part of the appeal. So I think you could potentially get offers up to the high $20s by making it a driver.

Look at buffalobill's posts...Sheridan wyoming ring a bell? Not worth anything just collecting dust and rust in an abandoned warehouse.

Hmmm, pretty sure the last soft window was made in 69'. Starting to see conversions now due to the price increases...

better do a little more research
the soft tops were available much later than 69 plenty of real examples out there |
