CUSTOM PORSCHE 912/911...SALE OR TRADE |
Oh my that is one ugly car
CL porsche listing
I say, stay away. That body work is horrible and there are to many issues. If you are patient you can find better in that price range maybe a little higher.
With this car I believe you might end up spending a bunch of money correcting issues. By the time you're done you'll realize that you could have bought a better car. |
Run away.....i repeat.......run away.
This is a 4500 car, not an 8500 car. The engine might be a total mess based on the description in the ad. Also, get a CLEAR picture of the engine bay, not the shaky one included in the ad.
And most importantly, be very careful doing business on Craigslist as a general rule! |
What a turd!
A European will no doubt buy it for cheap, restore it to it's former glory amd sell it auction for $85K! But it might take $120K to do it!
rust-
would bet money the inside drivers wheel well is rusted completely under 1/4" of bondo- that is why the door wont open or close- get a hat pin or a 18 gauge piece of steel wire and poke it where the suspension is connected to the body in the front of the car. push a bit hard, if it is solid it wont go through. my guess is it will- and a 912 had a 4 cylinder engine- |
Were are the front indicators?
I LOVE the door panels!!! Maybe I should do that to my '73.
HAHAHAH These post mad me laugh thanks huys for everything im gonna make sure to stay away!
Since i live in Florida and look for 911's to buy on a daily basis i can tell you that this car has been posted every day and even more than twice a day in just about every central florida craigslist for over a year. It was posted for $10500 FIRM for what seems like forever and finally lowered it $8500.
That interior looks like it was done in the 70's for a 30's hot rod. |
The seats and doors are on fi-yah!
Wow. That someone would think this is attractive - just wow..... |
Poor car...:(
That poor car just needs to be shot and put out of its missery.
dont do it
be serious -- that car is easily worth $850
door handles are overrated. :/
I'm going to assume for a minute that there are no major rust problems. I know... Go with me for a minute.
What kills me is that someone has this old 912 and they think it needs to be spruced up. Ok. Good. Now pay careful attention. Because this one moment in time is very important. This is where everything changes for the better or the worse. This is what separates the men from the boys. This is where somebody like the folks at Singer or Magnus Walker or any number of other people on this forum that see the car that makes you stop in your tracks. The one that gets your blood pumping. The one that makes your jaw drop. The one that says that "this is a Porsche." And then you see a picture of a car like this. Or really of what it became. And it makes you say... "Where are the curb feelers?" |
Something totally wrong with the nose looks like it may have had corrective surgery for a hair lip....

Is that them just under the bumper? |
those rimz are fkn hawt, LOLZ
what a sacrilege!
All that car needs is a V8. Spend a little more and buy Speednut's 912E. |
Lashed-up shed on wheels.
(That's bad) |
What are the headlights from? I actually like them as an alternative to the H1/H4 style.
It is worth it for those beautiful and rare wheels!
I say buy it, even fat girls need lov'in
When I see cars like this (and there are a few) I calculate parts value and make an offer based on that. $4500 is about tops, if everything is working well and there are no huge holes in the floor pan.
You never know, there may come a day when early 912s sell in the $30K range in 'driver' condition. We seem to be headed that way. If so, the bare chassis could be worth a large part of the seller's asking price. |
*jaw drops*
This is bad taste........gone bad.
finally something I am not tempted by for my collection!
