1316 RS fake

I just got done reading the epic thread, the thread to end all threads, the mother of all threads about the fake RS #1316 that is like everyone's worst nightmare, it just keeps coming back and refuses to die. Heck, people were still posting on that thread after the OP got out of jail.

I don't want to mention the OP name or else it will come up on a search. The thread is on the technical board/forum, I believe.

When I was reading I didn't notice many comments from the savvy people who post on the Marketplace discussion forum, so I thought I'd start a new thread here. I'm assuming that most people have read it, if not, it's great entertainment for a cold winter's day in front of the fire.

My main question: How did the OP benefit from the fraud? Who was he working with in Europe and who made the big bucks on the fake?

If I'm beating a dead horse, then don't just stand there, grab a stick and help!
