Mike, I'd say it's a $6k cash deal and bring a trailer. 22k is ridiculous, that's probably why it's been sitting so long. Its an obvious repaint, the flares are probably add ons, who knows what other problems you will find... and you will probably have to take the motor apart, just based on how long it's been sitting.

You can get a nice "running" SC or Carrera for $12K if you're not too picky, and another 5 K on top of that will get you a car you can drive with pride. This one is a basket case and should be priced accordingly. Print out some "comps" for similar cars and take them along, if you are a serious buyer.

Depends.
Need the VIN to see if it were a real turbo. I suspect not.
A '77 911 coupe not running is only worth 6-8k, maybe less depending on rust.
A turbo has added value but not with most of the good bits missing or in unknown condition.

I drive a '77 930-look. I bought it a little over a year ago for just over $10k. Looks great (paint is fine, I have the add-on steel flares, says "turbo" on the back but it is not a turbo) and drives fine. I have had a few small problems with it but so far nothing major. Interior is ok, some cracks on the dash and the seats look a little worn. All this is fine with me. I drive it to work everyday, love it.
I'd say $22K for the ad you posted seems insane.

Buy this car and remove that ugly interior. Put all of the interior parts in storage for 20 years. Pull them out and find the guy whose COA says his car came with ugly blue interior and sell it to him for thousands. It's not like he'll be able to find it anywhere else. -- matt

930???

If this is 930 and body is good then 6K is probably low unless you want and expect a one sided deal in your favor. Conversely if VIN shows it as 77 911 then 6k may be a little high. Good luck

P.S. 22k is ludicrous
