Value of this 917 Blau 110MM aluminum Fuel Oil cap

I found a aluminum Blau 110mm cap that an Old mad had in his collection.
Was thinking it would be perfect for a RS replica guy or something so I picked it up.
I showed it to a few friends and everyone who saw it freaked out.

Finally I showed it to a friend who works at VW/Porsche Design studio and big early race car enthusiast he seems to think it is work alot of money $5k is what he said. Went on to say that maybe there is only a hand full of these left not on cars.

He showed me the one he had in his collection told me he got it from
Vasek Polak and was removed from an actual 917.

A little further detail revealed that I possibly had the cap for the Oil tank since the fuel one is vented.

If it's worth as much as he said then I'd love to trade them for some aluminum door skins one could only hope
