Customs shipping parts to Euro zone

I believe there is no customs due when shipping German made parts back to Germany (?), Is it also true that shipping German parts back to Euro Zone countries is also customs free?

Yes that is true, but if shipping from outside Eurozone, you have to pay c20% VAT on entry.

I believe you will have to prove that they were made in Germany. I don't think that a sticker or website reference is enough.
