Why are Blaupunkt Radios called different cities?

Just wonder why Blaupunkt Radios are named after cities? Or ?

Like Frankfurt, Reno, Hamburg, etc

Did they just decide to use these names to explain the different models offered?

Most longhoods use a Frankfort.
