911 sc `78

Hi

Found this 911 for sale, but have never heard about this company.
Have any of you guys any knowledge to Vintage Classic Motors?

Is the price fair to a car in that condition?

1978 Porsche 911SC Coupe - Vintage Classic Motors

Hej Ole,

That drivers seat does NOT look like a seat from a 37.000 miles car.

Very expensive car - But IF the miles were correct and the car had all documentation and NO issues an all I think that the price would be OK - considering our crazy socialist tax system in Denmark.

Get many more pictures of interior undercarriage and engine servicebooklet.

I have also been looking for a 78 but tas one would not interest me. I would keep looking.

These look pretty good from the pics - at half the price.

The car in the OP looks nice but $37,500.00 seems steep. I The underside looks clean enough to be a low mileage car and I think that's a wisconsin plate, so it's a rust belt car, probably stored during winters.

I think the Claifornia Classix dealer linked to in the post above is the one that was recently "outed" for displaying cars with California plates, when they aren't California cars. Not exactly 100% upfront, so beware.

Ole,
That is probably $15,000 over priced for a good car. And don't forget what happened in the state of New Jersey recently.

There is no chance I would pay that kind of money for any SC regardless of mileage or condition.

Given the current administration policy of dollar devaluation (ie. stealing your savings), you will gladly pay that kind of money sooner than you think. I was shocked at the price increases since I started looking for a car 10 months ago. Wages going down, % employed going down and yet here we have classic Porsche prices skyrocketing. I try to keep politics out of my posts, but its hard sometimes (sorry!).

So glad I found a car at a decent price a couple weeks ago. Now to get it shipped across the country...

I seriously doubt the Fed "quantitative easing" has anything to do with the price of a 911. With that logic, 996's would be going up in price.

Regardless, the company selling the 911 may look all high end, but it bothers me there is no address info on their site. Plus $37K is way out of step with the current market.

Good thing you already own one because with that mentality you aren't going to find anything in your price range but a rusty '69 912 with a 200k mi 3.0l swap and fiberglass IB "update" done 20 years ago.

Back to the car in question, looks like a decent car but no way the mileage is real. Who puts 3.2 hydraulic fed tensioners on an engine unless they are at least doing a top end rebuild?

3.0s break studs, but not at 37k mi. That engine has been reworked.
