1980 SC price check
Hello,
I'm looking into a 1980 SC. It has a whale tail, and original engine lid. Fuchs, plus a set of aftermarket wheels, after market seats. The seller is the 3rd owner, and has receipts. It is original paint (tobacco brown metallic I think) in good condition. Mechanically it has a bad 2nd gear synchro. Engine is in good shape, about 110,000 miles. What would you pay for it? |

I am going $12 to $13,000.
$3,500 for tranny rebuild $500.00 for original seats All can be done cheaper but I quote #1 quality. This would have you in at $16,000 to $17,000. This is a great model and year for an SC. I would be very painstaking in my inspection of the motor.

[QUOTE=SilberUrS6;7326980]Considering the current market, $18k - $21k is what decent SCs are fetching. /QUOTE]
I would disagree with you on this. $15K can still get you a decent SC. Maybe not one with less than 100K miles, but still a nice driver that has been well maintained.

I haven't seen a good SC for $15k in months. I've seen some $15k SCs, but none that I would bring home to Mother. ![]() Last edited by SilberUrS6; 03-15-2013 at 07:58 AM.. |
