Value on my car?
 

I have looked high and low and cannot seem to find anything comparable with my car to get an idea of what I can sell it for.

It is a 1969 911S that has been made to look like a turbo (I have the CoA for it). The fenders are welded and the body was done pretty well. It has a turbocharged 2.7 in it and a 915 transmission. Aside from the car having kind of a spaghetti mess with 2 wiring harnesses, it runs well and is in decent condition.

I do not have any of its original parts.

What is the story with the interior? Was it "updated" as well or is it still original.

Kind of sounds like a "what is an early S vin worth?" sort of situation but the interior can sway that actual number by thousands.

Dash gauges carpet all look great. Seats could use a redo , kind of a wiring mess under the dash and the headliner is torn near the sunroof motor , but resowed, probably could use a new one.

You're right Matt. The value is probably getting it as close to original as possible...which could be a costly endeavor.

$12000 is the number that pops into my head.

I'm thinking that $12-15K would be about right. I see no value in it originally being an "S" as there is nothing left of the original car... The value is about the same as any other highly modified 911. One key here though is this 2.7L engine. Is it the 2.7L from the 74-77 911's? I have seen too many of those engines that are bad, so I would want to see documentation that when it was turbocharged that it was done right with major engine work done (case inserts, low compression pistons, etc.). If it's documented that it was done well, then maybe the value is higher. If it's as messy as the wiring harness, then even $12K may be high!

Based on what you've said I think the most money is in splitting it up and selling the engine, gearbox, and chassis as three separate parts. I would want the chassis as it sits. We could discuss what additional parts you could pull off it and sell.

Or shoot me a price for the whole car. I know people in the PNW who could pull the engine and gearbox for me and help me sell them off if you don't want the hassle.

As a point of reference I was recently offered a 70 S with 2.7 race motor on a 7r case that was a full blown race car with $50 of reciepts for the last ten years and vintage racing log book for $25k. A street car without fuel cell, fire suppression, cage and all that other jazz is worth $10-15k less.
