Price guidance... Fuchs 15s

Cleaning out storage and forgot I had these.

I have:

1 set 15x8 deep dish
2 15x7 deep dish
2 15x6 flat face

All wheels are true, but could use a refinish to make real pretty. One of the 6s has a small gash on the face that can easily be repaired by a professional... They are all factory, no replicas...

What would be a fair price? I really don't feel like moving these, and I'm closing my storage....

Thanks!

Condition is everything.

A wheel with scratches can be polished, painted or returned to factory 'clear' anodizing.

A wheel with a gash can only be polished or painted. Anodizing will show the repair.

The 7" deep dishes you have -- does the part number start with 911 or 901? If the latter, you have something extremely valuable.

What are the date codes on your wheels? This will help with valuation.

Where is the appropriate place to find the date codes?

Thanks

Stamped on the back of the rim.

In some cases, they are stamped in ink. I have not seen much rhyme or reason for some wheels to have the metal stamped with the date and some other wheels to be stamped in ink.

On my 16" Fuchs, the date code is a four-digit thing the first two digits are the week of the year, and the second two are the year. IIRC, mine says "39 85". So, the 39th week of 1985.

On early Fuchs, they are on a "web" behind the bolt circle.

techweenie's photo brings up another point - some of the marks can be pretty faint. Light brushing with a brass brush can allow you to see them better.
