does anyone know what this '86 in Iowa sold for
Hello,
I realize unless the person who bought it happens to see this thread and happens to want to volunteer what he paid, the question won't be answered but I am curious: 86 911 in Iowa Before I purchased my dunkelblau '87 last fall I was interested in this car. It was for sale at a Corvette flipper in Macomb, IL for (I think) around $20K. I tried to contact them twice via e-mail and they did not respond, so I dropped it. The info I was trying to get from them was how many miles were on it as that important piece of info was not listed on the web ad. I googled the VIN and found that it had around 135K on it and that a relatively short time before the Corvette guys listed it, it was for sale by a dealer in California. The Corvette dealer sent it to the Mecum auction last October where it was listed as sold for $19K (I think, not 100% sure about the selling price and if that includes the buyer's premium) to this Hartek dealer in Iowa. Hartek immediately listed it for $24K on their own website. Now it is shown as sold. I liked the car because of the color, no wing and especially the Porsche script cloth interior. I looked at a lot of cars, this was the only one I saw with cloth. I am curious because I've followed this particular car for a while. Sorry for the length of the post, Wally509
