87 Turbo, 90k miles needs valve guides. 25k??

This is Black on Black all stock car. Recent turbo, 2nd owner. Runs great, non stock wheels and the air pump was removed by a PO. It smokes pretty good after its warm. Needs valve guides. I am going to help friend sell it and he wants it gone pretty quick. Do you guys think this would move it quickly? Maybe its still too strong a price.

Thanks for your opinions.

I think it'd probably move quickly at that price, given that 930s without needing that work are selling around $40k for an average driver.

$15k cushion oughta be plenty to draw the folks out of the woodwork.

I'd offer it for $30k+ and take no less than $27k. Really, if he wants a solid guaranteed investment, fixing those guides will double the money spent, *if* there are all the records and the car is 9/10 on paint and interior.

930s are really starting to ramp up in price. $25k is a same-day sale.

That car will sell in 15 minutes at $25k. Too low, not too high.

Though like Eric said, take it to Goldcrest, have them do a top end rebuild on it and then ask $45k for it.

Yah I need to check the 'if' on the records for the car. He just wants out quick, needs a truck for a growing business. I am thinking about flipping it after cleaning it up a bit but I have been bitten before and I dont want to rush in.

Really appreciate the comments - please keep them coming, hopefully the car will end up with a pelican as a great value and be used as it is meant to be. I wish it was modded then it could be backdated ala RSR or BBII with a T :-)

For 15K you should be able to rebuild the top end and refresh trans. If the body and interior are good you should be around 43K value.
