Maybe Dickson is on a secret mission for the CIA?

But as I wrote in the now deleted thread. No need to apologize, Dickson - I never took offence in any statement by you. I have thik skin - What irritated me was that you were not straight up about the SC you sought advice for.

You seemed interested in owning it and asked what a fair price would be. Like I answered 12.000 was probably pretty far off. I estimated it to be around 20-25K as far as I remember - And we all know the rest of the story.

That being said I repect people who make money, just be straight up about your intentions. The internet is a powerful tool.

Now you ask advice for a 912. Before I bought my old hack 912E last week I drove a 67 912. Fun, pretty and agile little car. But be extra deligent when you inspect it - they are almost as old as Santa Claus.

Best Regards from Copenhagen,

Christian

$10k is kick-in-the-pants low.

Do some research on the car and gauge your bid accordingly. Like my '78SC, poor girl got the Cali 90s look in '93...Guards Red re-spray

It was originally desert tan, less than 300 made with the combo in '78...

One day, it will eventually have a full changeback

Sorry, I didn't realize the valuation question of uncommon 911sc colors has been addressed completely.

It hasn't.

But the comment in context is about how rare SCs are. Which is to say, they aren't. And in unusual colors? Still not rare enough to move the needle a whole lot.

And in this particular thread, that was merely a side issue.

I wasn't here when the thread was fresh.

How much did this common green SC sell for at the end ?

It flipped at least twice in a couple of weeks, and stalled in the mid $30s at a relatively large volume specialty dealer, as I recall.

If he held it, he probably made a little on it in the end.

True.

It was stolen from an elderly gentleman for 12k sold on ebay to the dealer for 25k who sold it for ??????

Anyways it was a very nice car. But would never have bought it from any of the lowlifes. The original owner should have gotten the 20k+. Still would have been a great deal.

They give 45% of their income to the government. Either he's got to pull the party line or get bitter...

Funny - but thanks for reminding me what conniving douchebags from CO sound like....

No Matt in DK we pay close to 60% in income taxes for a normal salary and all new cars except the plastic Tesla are 180% on top of the base price in taxes. A new standard 991 is 300 USD - but then again we have a lot of lazy no good immigrants who ruin our country to pay for.

I guess the value would be between 25-35k depending on how much a buyer wanted thst specific color. It is a nice car. It sat a while at the dealer (35k if I recall) after after some upgrades were made. I think that the dealer, Jeff?, said that they took a loss on it.
