Fair pricing on early 911 interior parts
I purchased a "lot" of parts in order to get a few that I really needed for my 69 911T restoration project. I just disassembled both doors and I am having a hard time finding a value for these items. I need to recover the original purchase price of the "lot" and I am also hoping to fund a bit of my restoration. I have checked here early991sregistry and eBay. On eBay I have just seen astronomical prices and it doesn't seem like anything ever sells. I have only found a $450.00 price for the door cards (seriously?), $350 for the armrests and $250.00 for the pockets. I couldn't find a price for the upper door arm rests.
Any help would be appreciated. As I said I need to recover my investment and want to be fair but also make a little bit. Just ordered new torsion bars, spring plate covers from Pelican yesterday and the list is growing... Much Thanks, ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks like you have some nice pieces, you should post in the 911 Used Classifieds forum for more exposure, likely to have more success finding buyers there.
Best wishes, Mike |

Thanks Mike they are pretty good especially considering how much rust is on the door of a car from Camden, NJ after 30+ years.
I do want to post them all here but the classified rules say I need to specify a price first so I guess I am asking are the prices I found for similar pieces fair, too low/ too high? I guess I could do those prices and add a or best offer and see what flies. I would like to move them out quickly so I can get some work done to my 69, it needs so much!! ![]()

Ghost,
Why don't you do a search on the parts in question, in the classifieds, and figure out what they have been selling for. Then, you can price yours accordingly. I have a pair of 16x7 Fuchs in decent condition. I am currently cleaning them up. When I do finally put them up for sale, I will go back the last year and take the average price for a pair of 16x7 Fuchs in decent condition (they come up for sale often enough) and offer them at that price. You could do the same, except expand your time range. |

Armrests on ebay (about 8 advertised) price range $150.00 - $189.00).
Ebay is a good place to monitor or purchase used early Porsche 911 parts. Your search should be specific (Porsche 911 door pockets) for example and you will see the line up. Early (longhood) parts are getting tough to find at bargain prices these days as the longhoods start moving up into 356 status. Its a wake up call on prices, but supply and demand sets the market. I mean, $1,700 for a new set of door pockets for both doors, really?! But that's the trend right now. The message is explore competitive prices asked for on used parts and jump right in! I sold a very nice original toolkit from a 1972T on ebay several months ago for $1600.00! Who would have thought? Bob 73.5T |

Eric-I think that I need to search a bit harder. My searches just weren't turning up too much. Maybe on the Pelican and 911s sites I'll need to go back a little further. Researching old parts is frustrating! I think that I noticed a workshop manual go for 400 here and one has been for sale on eBay for $800. I am trying to sort out real world prices.
Bob- $1600 for a tool kit? I think that I have one of those lol!! I agree some of these prices seem to be so high they are unbelievable. Guess I will try it and see what happens.

I saw your prices on your Classifieds Parts post and they are on the high side but entirely realistic. By that I mean that since your parts look to be in fairly nice shape you will be able to get those prices or very close to them as long as you are a little patient. There is more selection which is priced lower than your parts, but few seem to be in the condition yours are, so I think you are spot on. -- Matt

Thanks Matt! I didn't want to overprice them and have them hanging around. I already sold the pockets to a member here so I guess the pricing is OK. Thank you very much for the input.
Marty
