What? I review your posts and you tried to sell the seat 2 years ago. How have you been trying to sell it for the last 2 years?

A photo would help. There seem to be many interpretations of 'Recaro sport seat.'

Seems to me that seat is worth double what you've been offered. Where are you located?

Ok, now I understand. Not shipping removes 97% of your potential buyers. There are people who will pay well over $1000 for that seat, but you will have to ship it. $500 is giving it away.

So what if it costs a lot? If the buyer wants it, he/she will have to pay for shipping. These seats are rare, and folks will pay if they want the seat. In addition to the seat's asking price.

Exactly, buyer pays shipping. I sell Lsds to Europe all the time. $2500-3000 for the LSD plus another $300-500 for shipping depending on where it is going, plus local duties and taxes. If someone wants it, they will pay.

Real easy to ship seats. Go to your local U-Haul, and buy a 'shorty' wardrobe box. I have one with two 924 Martini/Rossi seats ready for shipment. With two seats, you have to separate one seat to fit. FedEx Ground will take the box.

Drop it off at your nearest UPS Store and have the buyer call and handle the shipping and handling cost.

I tried selling a pair last year.
My intentions were to drop off at fedex or ups and be done with it.
If only it were that easy!
First guy insisted on grey hound, which is 40 minutes from my work in the opposite direction from my home.
Next guy wanted me to drive one way to uhaul to get boxes, take the seats apart, then drive the other way to ship.
After a few weeks of head aches, I decided to keep the seats.
Just not worth the trouble.

Hey boys and girls, don't forget that not everyone on this forum is in the USofA - and it might be difficult to carry on the back of his bike.

Great to see. I spoke with the seller privately and glad he took my advice. He would have gotten taken like a chump at $500. He deserves fair market value for it and this forum has served it's purpose in educating him around what that fair price is, even if there was a little razzing mixed in to the discussion.
