anybody know about this C2S at top gear?
I like it, the theft recovery doesnt bother me if its reflected in price...
|
I like it also, I guess it would depend on what the damage was, and how much paint work was done. Always liked the color.
|
Depends on where you get your info, but I've read some sketchy things about Top Gear.
I know there's a dude on here that keeps promoting a few of their cars in the classifieds section, but all it took for me was a few bad reviews to make me think twice before I'd shop there. That said, they also do not have any kind of website, and they only sell on evilbay. You can read their seller reviews on there, but I've heard half of them are from people that work there that just boost their reviews. |
Poor car has been customized by the guys from "pimp my ride"!
|
hey at least they show you clear pics of the drivers seat bolster. Most sellers neatly clip that off in the picture and then show you 3 pics of the back seat.
no connection to seller. Nice color. If it was a theft recovery insist on an ECU download to look for over-revs and other abuse. |
Good looking car.
I do find it funny that it says "no stories" in an ad for a car with a salvage title/theft history. |
Sounds pretty pricey for a salvage title car. I would want to know the paint work history to make sure it was not salvaged for another reason. There is no reason you cant do business with a place that has a questionable rep on the internet. The downside to the internet is that most people who have a good experience don't go all over the net saying what a good experience thay had. Those few ( or many ) who have a bad one tend to want to extract revenge... the squeaky wheel....
Do your own DD, get a PPI, go see the car in person etc etc and then make your own decision. Now that being said I would almost never buy a car from a place like Victory just because we have documented proof here on how many they have screwed, then again if they had a Cassis Red 87-89 Targa or Coupe priced right I would have to think pretty hard about doing my own DD. |
Do they have a web site?
|
I wouldn't care a out the title. I would want to know the exact damage and very closely inspect how it was repaired. Way too many Pcars got branded titles when values were low and repair costs were high, even when the damage wasn't structurally relevant.
|
Guys.......why all the details?
The car is f..... up. Who would want to pimp a nice C2S unless it had been damaged? To me this would be parts car! |
You guys are tough! I too have wondered about no web site. That is a turn off to me.

I am the "dude" that posts some of there cars here for sale. I have become friendly with the owners after 2 friends and myself bought cars there with great satisfaction. Since I live close by I drop in once in a while and shoot the breeze and check out new inventory and I offer to post some of my favorites on here. Trader 220 hit the nail right on the head, most people with good experiences don't express them on the internet. Only bad experiences get vented here. I can assure everyone that the owners are true porsche guys like us and they try there best to buy the best. As far as no website goes...top gear started as a whole operation selling to dealers across the country until recently shifting there focus to retail. As we speak they are in the process of constructing a website which I'm will impress most of you, there inventory is amazing.
If anyone here at anytime wants me to view a car for them I PROMISE to give my honest opinion. I can be reached at leo.tignini@yahoo.com or send a pm. Tx |
