1974 Targa 911
Any thoughts on a price for a very clean and rust free project? The engine was rebuilt 10 years ago but never installed and run. I looked inside cylinders and they look good. motor turns over. Right now it's a roller with front fenders removed. The guy is stuck hard on $8000, I was thinking like $6000 max. Any suggestions welcome.
What would be a fair value when complete? Thanks, Matt |

74s are coming on in value. This car seems to need quite a bit of work w/ a ceiling value of $35,000 +/- as a restored car. If the car has no rust you might be able to DIY and not get in upside down.
Here are my questions, How are the following: Windows, brightwork and paint Mechanical; Fuel system, Electrical, brakes & suspension Targa Top Interior, Dash, instrumentation Wheels, Tires

Thanks, what you think on price? Many new parts in boxes. Calipers look restored. Your right! A lot of work. Upside is there. Not sure about motor. Looks good, but do not know history and neither does the seller. Mileage was around 100,000

I see less '74s for sale than I do '73s or '72s. The market is going up and up. I see $8K no problem nowadays.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this deal. I have first dibs. Just not sure where I'm gonna put it. The garage is full.
